WINDSHEAR RECOVERY - EGPWS Detection
PF ACTIONS:
Announce ┈ “Windshear Go Around”
Thrust Levers ┈ MAX
TOGA Swtich ┈ PRESS
Announce ┈ “Windshear Green”
Flight Director Escape Guidance Cue ┈ FOLLOW
Maintain the present configuration (gear and flaps) until terrain clearance is assured and the Windshear warning / caution has extinguished.
PM ACTIONS:
Confirm WSHR displayed in FMA vertical field.
Call out aircraft trends ┈ confirmation of climb / descent, speed and pitch.
And, on removal of the warning or caution annunciation:
Announce ┈ “Clear of Shear”
WINDSHEAR RECOVERY - Without EGPWS Detection
PF ACTIONS:
Announce ┈ “Windshear Go Around”
Autopilot ┈DISENGAGE
Thrust Levers ┈ MAX
TOGA Switch ┈ PRESS
Pitch ┈ 20 degrees or PLI whichever is lower
Maintain the present configuration (gear and flaps) until terrain clearance is assured.
PM ACTIONS
Call out aircraft trends ┈ confirmation of climb / descent, speed and pitch.
When it is confirmed these values and vertical rate have stabilised:
Announce ┈ “Clear of Shear”
**RECOVERY POST WINDSHEAR **
Following the call of “Clear of Shear”
PF ACTIONS:
Thrust Levers ┈ TOGA, or less as required to control aircraft’s energy.
TOGA Button ┈ PRESS
NOTE! Deselection of WSHR vertical FMA is not automatic
Above acceleration altitude:
Announce ┈ “Climb Sequence”
PM ACTIONS:
Flaps ┈ Set to Go Around (or leave if during take-off)
Gear ┈ Up
Lateral Mode ┈ Select and confirm on FMA
Above acceleration altitude:
Climb Sequence ┈ Complete
DRIFT DOWN
PF ACTIONS:
Autothrottle ┈ OFF
Good Engine ┈ Manually Select TOGA
Thrust Rating ┈ Check / Select CON
IAS ┈ Select VDD (Green Bug) Until this appears, select VFS + 7kts / 210kts
ALT SEL ┈ MSA or 10000ft whichever is higher then adjust to drift down altitude from performance tables.
FLCH ┈ SELECT when VDD has been achieved.
