Identify the findings in the stained smear
Post-mortem - Negri body, are eosinophilic , sharply outlined, pathognomonic intracytoplasmic inclusion bodies found in certain nerve cells esp at the hippocampus.

-Serum:detection of antibodies
* Skin biopsy from hairline- Immunofluorescent assay can be performed for detection
of the viral antigens
* Corneal impression smear- Stained smears or Immunofluorescent assay
