Emergency Ground Egress - Left Side Egress
A
- “EGRESS, EGRESS, EGRESS”
- ‘CONFIRM ISS SOLO”
- Stow Pin in Seat, “My Pins in how about yours”
- Parking Break - As Required
- Check visual indications to see if a left side egress is warranted
- Canopy - Open
- Shoulder straps, then lap belt, then SSK, then legs - Release
- “Sir I am unstrapped and am going to turn off the BAT,GEN, AND AUX BAT.”
- BAT, GEN , AUX BAT - OFF
- Evacuate aircraft at a 45 degree angle a min of 300 ft behind the aircraft

Control Ejection
A
- Notify other crewmember of ejection decision
- Altitude - 2000 ft minimum
- Airspeed - 125-180 kts minimum
- Distress Call - Transmit
- Transponder - 7700
- Loose Equip Stowed - (Both), “My loose items stowed”
- Visor Down - Down, “Visor down”
- Oxygen Mask - Fastened and tight “Helmet secured”
- Leg Garters - Check
- Harness - Locked
- ADU Switch - As req
- Turn Aircraft Toward Uninhabited area (IFG for control ejection location)
- PCL - OFF
- Assume Proper Position
- Execute EJECT

Proper Eject Position
A
- Head back firmly against the headpad
- Should and back against the seat
- Elbows close to the body
- Legs flat on seat pad
- Legs extended but not rigid

- Canopy - Attempt to open
- “EGRESS RIGHT, EGRESS RIGHT, EGRESS RIGHT”
- CFS Handle Safety Pin - Remove
- CFS Handle - Rotate 90 deg counter clockwise and pull
- Shoulder straps, then lap belt, then SSK, then legs - Release
- “Sir I am unstrapped and am going to turn off the BAT,GEN, AND AUX BAT.”
- BAT, GEN , AUX BAT - OFF
- Evacuate aircraft at a 45 degree angle a min of 300 ft behind the aircraft

Post Eject Procedures
A
- Canopy - Inspect for any damage or malfunctions
- Confirm if you are over trees or not
- Visor - Raise
- Oxygen Mask - Remove from helmet
- SSK - Check it has deployed and is hanging off the left SSK fitting
- LPU - Inflate as required
- Steer - LOcated Red Le Moinge Lanyards and pull down to open Le Moinge Slots
- Steer into wind
- Prepare for Landing - Aprox 200 ft above ground
- Execute PLF

A
- Locate frost fitting on risers and place the right hand over the right release and left hand over the left release
- Locate and focus on a point out on the horizion
- Assumer proper body position: feet and knees together, knees slight bent, and balls of feet lower than heels
- Use 5 points of contact: balls of feet, side of calf, side of thigh, side of buttocks, and shoulder blade
- Release Frost fittings
- Recover and assess injuries
