Emergency Ground Egress - Left Side Egress

  1. “EGRESS, EGRESS, EGRESS”
  2. ‘CONFIRM ISS SOLO”
  3. Stow Pin in Seat, “My Pins in how about yours”
  4. Parking Break - As Required
  5. Check visual indications to see if a left side egress is warranted
  6. Canopy - Open
  7. Shoulder straps, then lap belt, then SSK, then legs - Release
  8. “Sir I am unstrapped and am going to turn off the BAT,GEN, AND AUX BAT.”
  9. BAT, GEN , AUX BAT - OFF
  10. Evacuate aircraft at a 45 degree angle a min of 300 ft behind the aircraft

Control Ejection

A
  1. Notify other crewmember of ejection decision
  2. Altitude - 2000 ft minimum
  3. Airspeed - 125-180 kts minimum
  4. Distress Call - Transmit
  5. Transponder - 7700
  6. Loose Equip Stowed - (Both), “My loose items stowed”
  7. Visor Down - Down, “Visor down”
  8. Oxygen Mask - Fastened and tight “Helmet secured”
  9. Leg Garters - Check
  10. Harness - Locked
  11. ADU Switch - As req
  12. Turn Aircraft Toward Uninhabited area (IFG for control ejection location)
  13. PCL - OFF
  14. Assume Proper Position
  15. Execute EJECT

  8. CFS Handle Safety Pin - Remove
  9. CFS Handle - Rotate 90 deg counter clockwise and pull
  10. Shoulder straps, then lap belt, then SSK, then legs - Release
  11. “Sir I am unstrapped and am going to turn off the BAT,GEN, AND AUX BAT.”
  12. BAT, GEN , AUX BAT - OFF
  13. Evacuate aircraft at a 45 degree angle a min of 300 ft behind the aircraft

Post Eject Procedures

A
  1. Canopy - Inspect for any damage or malfunctions
  2. Confirm if you are over trees or not
  3. Visor - Raise
  4. Oxygen Mask - Remove from helmet
  5. SSK - Check it has deployed and is hanging off the left SSK fitting
  6. LPU - Inflate as required
  7. Steer - LOcated Red Le Moinge Lanyards and pull down to open Le Moinge Slots
  8. Steer into wind
  9. Prepare for Landing - Aprox 200 ft above ground
  10. Execute PLF

  1. Locate frost fitting on risers and place the right hand over the right release and left hand over the left release
  2. Locate and focus on a point out on the horizion
  3. Assumer proper body position: feet and knees together, knees slight bent, and balls of feet lower than heels
  4. Use 5 points of contact: balls of feet, side of calf, side of thigh, side of buttocks, and shoulder blade
  5. Release Frost fittings
  6. Recover and assess injuries
