Bat Malfunctions Flashcards
What are the conditions that will cause a BAT BUS failure?
- If the CWS circuit breaker on the BAT BUS has popped
- If there is a loss to the actual BAT BUS
- If the current limiter on the bat bus side has failed
What are indications of the current limiter and/or an actual BAT BUS failure?
Illumination of the BAT BUS annunciator accompanied by multiple failures of items on the battery bus with their associated CWS annunciators being illuminated
Should you reset the CWS circuit breaker if it is popped on the BAT BUS panel?
No
Will landing gear and flap position indicators be powered with a BAT BUS annunciator illuminated?
No
Will you be able to extend the landing gear normally with a BAT BUS failure?
No, you will have to use the emergency gear extension system
With a BAT BUS, will the emergency flaps still work? If so, why?
Yes, because the emergency flaps are powered by the HOT BAT BUS and will extend as long as the main battery has not failed
