lesion that causes agraphia, acalculia, finger agnosia (can’t distinguish fingers), left-right disorientation
angular gyrus in dominant parietal lobe (usually left): Gerstmann syndrome
what causes this syndrome:
dysphagia, dysphonia, dysarthria - loss of tongue control
contralateral spastic hemiparesis (weakness)
ipsilateral ptosis, pupillary dilation, down + out eye (lateral strabismus)
Weber syndrome (anterior midbrain = cerebral peduncle, paramedian br. of posterior cerebral artery)
dysphagia, dysphonia, dysarthria - loss of tongue control: corticobulbar tract
contralateral spastic hemiparesis (weakness): corticospinal tract
ipsilateral ptosis, pupillary dilation, down + out eye (lateral strabismus): CN 3 palsy
