EXTERNAL LARYNGEAL NERVE
A
- Supplies cricothyroid –
- Cricothyroid tenses vocal cords= allows u to project your voice, sing and do high pitch
- => if u cut it= weak voice, cant sing, lower pitch

RECURRENT LARYNGEAL NERVE
A
- supplies all muscles of larynx except circothyroid
- if cut one recurrent laryngeal nerve= hoarse voice
- if cut both recurrent laryngeal nerves= muscles cant open airway= airway obstruction needing tracheostomy

- wen this node is enlarged, typically indicates pancreatic cancer.
- troisier’s sign=the finding of an enlarged virchow’s node
in the left supraclavicular fossa ( the area above the left clavicle) that drains head, neck, chest, intra-abdominal and thoracic organs.
