[MVP] Can you explain the concept of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and its role in product development? Flashcards
- Lenny Summit
recognizing whatever the MVP is, I think one mistake we often make is we forget how much the gravity an MVP has, what ever you put out, your instinct as team will always iterate from there so to also make sure that it can be the mimic and viable version of most things, the thing that distinguish your product the most needs to be done extraordinarily well before you put it out, because it’s hard to iterate your way out of not getting that right.
How to keep product simple? as you add features, monetize, and mature?
always ensuring that the product is working for the newest cohort of the customers. every customer of any type of product, in their early stage of using the product is Lazy, Vain, and selfish. Show rather than explaining something, Do rather than show and explain, like templets.. Vain: ego analytics, How does this product make me feel good about myself, in my job, in my life, you always seen the likes, share and appreciate buttons and everything else, the engagement in a product like that, actually goes up after the user posts something

people don’t rave about products doing what they expected, they only rave about products doing what they didn’t expect. moments of delight that the customers did not expect that drove the exchange the discussion that people were raving. I often times wonder how do you get a team to prioritize in a roadmap session about building a high performance car something like rainbow road. but I think you have to recognize that your job is to get customer discover and adopt your product. and if novelty does proceed utility if people do rave about things they didn’t expect. how do you prioritize those things.
