Muscles of Lower Limb: Hip and Thigh Flashcards

1
Q

Iliopsoas

A

Muscle that moves the hip
–actually 2 muscles: iliac and psoas major

action: thigh and trunk flexion (bowing)

Origin: ilium and lumbar vertebrae
Insertion: femur

*note: actually easy to see in abdomen, difficult to locate on thigh
