Q

SLS

A
SLS = Unable to stand on one leg is often a reason for more detailed assessment to determine source of problem (unable to integrate bilateral positive support), excessive trunk, hip, knee or arm movements to maintain balance, asymmetrical, associated reactions (eg. poking out tongue indicates it’s a difficult task).
6yo = cross arms of hands on hips

Q

jump prog

A

If the child is able to complete a broad jump over the 15cm rope with a controlled landing and no overbalancing (can use a marker and explain the child must ‘stick’ the landing) then increase the height of the rope to 30cm. May also test jumping from steps in older children

Hop

A

= knee ext and contra k flx , hop rhythmically, adequate spring and control
3yrs = 3 hops on good leg, arms abducted > 4yrs = 5 on both > 5yrs, 10 on both, arms by side, ON SPOT, 6yrs is direction

Q

Ball skills

A

= PREPARATION = child must prepare for throw or catch by adjusting their technique or posture. Errors = use fdbck to adjust technique/posture
Ax = 2y = have on matt, 4+, underarm throw to child 1.8m away and record out of 10, how many hands, size then get them to throw to target either on floor (-10) or on wall 10+
