Health related fitness
What are the health related components of fitness?
Cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility and body composition
Is the ability of your heart, blood cells and loans to work continuously or extended periods of time
Cardiovascular endurance
Is the maximum amount of force a muscle can produce in a single effort or how much you can lift in one attempt. Example: lifting weights or free weights or a box full of books.
Muscular strength
Is the range of motion that your joints have during movement
Flexibility
Is the ratio of water, bone, muscle and fat in the body
Body composition

Is the ability to perform during games and sports
Skill related fitness
What are the school related components of fitness.
Agility, balance, coordination, power, reaction time, and speed.
Is the ability to change and control the direction and position of your body while maintaining a constant rapid motion.
Agility
Is the ability to control or stabilize your equilibrium while moving or staying still.
Balance
Your ability to use your eyes and ears to determine and direct the smooth movement of your body.
Coordination
Is the ability to move your body parts Swickley while at the same time applying the maximum force of your muscles.
Power
Is your ability to react to what you hear see or feel. example: sprinter responding to a gun
Reaction time
