Drive comes from within the performer

What is extrinsic motivation?
Drive experienced by a performer when striving to achieve an award
Tangible = can be touched
Intangible = can’t be touched
What are the tangible and intangible rewards of extrinsic motivation?
Tangible

What does SUPER mean?
Stronger = intrinsic generally believed to be stronger/better
Undermine = overuse of extrinsic can undermine intrinsic value
Persist = more likely to persist if motivates intrinsically
Reliance = performers can become too reliant on extrinsic motivation
