Review: steps of the PPP lesson plan.
The first section of the lesson is the warmer, where we will get an idea of what the student already knows and what the gaps are in their knowledge.
Next is the presentation stage, where the teacher will do most of the talking to explain to the student what they are going to learn. The basic language structure and vocabulary are introduced here.
The next step is practice. As it is a one-to-one lesson, the student will have to practice with the teacher. The teacher can vary the tasks here, so that they don’t become boring.
The final step is the production stage, where the student has to produce the language learned in the lesson. The student interacts with the teacher with the aim of producing the target language fluently. There is less focus on accuracy at this stage.
Finally, to wind down the lesson, there is a short game or filler, something that is still connected to the lesson objective but which is more fun.
