• Technical problems: loss of internet connection (or poor speed), malfunctioning equipment such as headsets, computers, or cameras, and errors on the teaching platform itself.
• Practical and administrative issues: the physical location of your one-to-one lesson. Finding a quiet place to teach where you and the learner can concentrate and not be interrupted. Logging and accessing the necessary information about your learners, their progress, wants, and needs.
• Police background checks: If you are working with learners who are under 18 years old or who have been identified as “vulnerable”, these checks are essential.
• Behavior - social: They may be disrespectful, impolite, or could simply refuse to participate in the lesson at all.
• Behavior - cultural: Different cultural expectations of male and female relationships might be problematic.
