How many levels of Hazmat incidents are there?
Three.
Level 1 incidents are small-scale incidents with minimal environmental impact.
Level 2 are larger and scaled than level 1 and since it may pose a threat to life, the environment or property. These incidents will most likely require additional resources and formal response Personnel such as a Hazmat team.
And level 3 are large scale instance supposed to severe threat to human life, the environment and property. These types of incidents require substantial resources and an additional aide on the federal, state or local level.
