18
Q

What are signs and symptoms of choking agent exposure?

A

Eye and Airway irritation, dizziness, tightness of chest, delayed pulmonary edema

19
Q

What are characteristics of choking agent exposure?

A

And very high doses can result in death after several days

20
Q

How long does standard PBI turn out Gear with SCBA provide first responder with sufficient protection from a nerve agent Vapors inside interior or down one areas of the hot zone?

A

30 minutes

21
Q

How long does self tape turnout Gear with SCBA provide sufficient protection in an unknown nerve agent environment for reconnaissance to search for living victims or reconnaissance if blister agent

A

3 minutes and 2 minutes

22
Q

What is the most expeditious method to decontaminate large masses of victims?

A

Flushing and showering with water with the recommendation being 2 to 3 minutes under ideal situations

23
Q

The removal of a victim’s clothing contaminated with chemical agents removes what percent of contamination?

A

Up to 80% of contamination is removed by disrobing

24
Q

Should clothes be wet that are contaminated with liquid agent prior to removal?

A

It should be avoided as it may facilitate transfer of the liquid agent to the skin

25
Q

How far apart are two engine companies that are positioned for master stream decontamination of patients?

A

15 ft apart with a decontamination Corridor between the apparatus would be formed. Two and one half inch fog nozzle set in a wide bulb pattern would then be attached to the pump discharges. And additionally a fog nozzle will be placed on the ladder pipe

26
Q

What is the covered wagon decontamination system?

A

Two engine companies 12 ft apart parallel to each other with a rope secured across apparatus and several places with Salvage covers over them which will provide a privacy screen went with an opening for processing victims. A Savage cover may also be deployed to cover the top opening when operating around tall buildings to provide maximum privacy. They are decontaminated by firefighters who are hosing them down with a small line after they have had their clothing removed and bagged

27
Q

What is an improvised decontamination system?

A

Vacated why with a play pipe directly attached to one of the discharges can be connected to a two and a half inch opening on a hydrant. The angle of the Gated y as well as fog pattern on Clay pipe makes it effective stream for decontamination
