Indications
A
Pain relief

Contraindications
A
- Renal disease or failure
- Concurrent use of other tetracycline antibiotics
- Family Hx of malignant hyperthermia
- Muscular dystrophy
- No more than 6ml in 24hrs

Precautions
A
- Penthrox inhaler is hand held so pt must hot or have some help from crew
- Pre-eclampsia
- Concurrent use of oxytocin may cause hypotension

Side effects
A
- Drowsiness
- Decrease in BP and bradycardia
- Exceeding 6mls may cause renal toxicity

Inhaled anaesthetic agent
