Working the entire body for a long period of time and reaching the target zone 60-80% of the maximum heart rate
Advantages of continuous training
Works cardiovascular fitness
Inexpensive
Disadvantages of continuous training
Some ppl find it boring
Does not improve aerobic fitness
Advantages of fartlek training
Can include hill work, both uphill and down
Can be done on a variety of terrains
Fartlek training
Changing speed, distance and time of exercise in the same session
Circuit
A number of exercises arranged so as to avoid exercising the same muscle groups consecutively
Interval
High intensity high quality workout with breaks in between
Polymetric
Polymetrics are exercises in which muscles exert maximum force in a short intervals of time
Weight
Involves shifting weight to increase the strength of the muscle using a programme of exercises
