Depression
- a feeling that affects everyone from time to time
Sadness
- The reaction to a specific life event; less severe and can persist for years
Mild depression
- intense can last for weeks or months
Major depression
- medical condition that requires diagnosis and treatment; illness of the mind that can affect the thought feelings and behaviors of a person

- a mark of shame or disapproval and may result in getting rejected by others

- as kids become teens and their body changes it can cause this disorder

- extreme emotions of high and lows

- destructive behaviors; stealing, lying, violence

- when teens can’t regulate their emotions; they may feel distressed

- when a person loses touch with reality; you’re delusional and professional help is needed
