W/S AHEAD red message on PFD
Visual display on ND
Aural Warning “Windshear Ahead Windshear Ahead” or “Go Around Windshear Ahead”

Available below 2300 ft AGL, detects 5NM ahead of aircraft with alerts displayed on ND below 1500ft AGL

A
  • Before Take Off: Delay Take Off
  • During Take Off: Reject take off (Warning inhibited above 100kts until 50 ft)
  • Airborne: Thrust levers TOGA, Take Off /Go Around procedures. Slat/Flaps as usual, provided the windshear is not entered. AP keep on if engaged, Follow SRS Orders (if no SRS, 17.5 UP). Pull side stick all the way back if needed.

WINDSHEAR Red message on PFD
Aural warning “Windshear Windshear Windshear”

Available: 3s after lift-off to 1300ft AGL and 1300ft AGL to 50ft AGL

A

• Call “Windshear TOGA”
Set TOGA Thrust

• During Take off roll:

  • Below V1, continue unless there is signifiant speed variation and sufficient runway remaining
  • Above V1, rotate normally no later than 2 000 ft before the end of the runway even with speed below Vr

• Airborne (initial climb or landing):

  • TOGA Set or Confirm
  • Keep A/P on if already engaged
  • Follow SRS, if FD is off pitch 17.5° then full back stick if necessary
  • Keep Flaps and Gear configuration until out of the shear

Do Not change configuration (Slat/Flap/Gear) until out of Windshear. Closely monitor flight path and speed. Smoothly recover to normal climb once out of Windshear.

UNRELIABLE AIRSPEED INDICATION

A

• Call “Unreliable speed, AP OFF, FDs OFF, A/THR OFF ”
- Set PITCH/THRUST (sequence in Climb until abv MSA):
. Below Thrust Reduction altitude: 15°/TOGA
. Below FL100: 10° / CLB
. Above FL100: 5° / CLB
- Gear UP
- Flaps if Full retract to 3, otherwise keep configuration
- Check Speedbrakes retracted

• Climb above the Minimum Safe Altitude
• Unreliable speed indication/ADR Check QRH check list:
- PITCH/THRUST for initial level off
- Isolate the faulty ADR (Compare GPS GS on ND with IAS on PFD)

TCAS RA

A

(without TCAS flight guidance mode)
• Call “TCAS I have Control (Traffic Traffic)

• When TCAS RA is displayed:

  • AP OFF
  • FDs OFF
  • VS monitor or adjust
  • “Dragon 123 TCAS RA” / “Clear of conflict returning to FL…”
  • On approach for a RA climb perform a Go Around

• Recovery: AP1 and FD ON Read FMA and correct the modes

(with TCAS flight guidance mode)

  • TCAS mode check ARM
  • Call “TCAS BLUE”
  • A/THR ON

TCAS RA:

  • TCAS mode follows RA orders
  • IF AP off, follow FD (AP can be engaged)
  • VS monitor (either remains or gets out of red area)

IF for ANY reason during the RA the VS does not reach the green scale, the Pilot Flying should disengage the AP, override the FD, and lead the VS out of the red scale area. Use speeds between VαMax and VMax.

If any CLIMB RA is heard during the final approach:

  • TCAS mode order (monitor/follow)
  • GO Around consider (if TOGA then SRS mode, not TCAS RA mode, but check the VS outside the red scale)
When Clear of conflict:
If the TCAS Mode was engaged, it disengages.
- AP/FD monitor/follow
- ATC notify
- Lateral and vertical guidance adjust
- Speed adjust

At ALL TIMES, respect GPWS/STALL/WINDSHEAR warnings.
Notify ATC
