Glide 76 Carb heat ON Note Wind Direction / Speed PIck landing site Mix - full rich Fuel selector - check/switch Fuel Pump ON Fuel primer Magnetos check all Bat / Al ON
If not restart
Maintain best glide Squawk 7700 Declare ER ELT ON Mix cut off Fuel selector OFF Seatbelts / Harness Flaps as needed Batt / Alt & Mags OFF Airspeed 63 KIAS Unlatch Door Protect body

Electrical Fire in flight
A
All electrical devices + Batt / Alt OFF
Vents, Cabin heat and air OFF
If fire out - Bat/ALt on only if critical
Then one essential electrical device at a time
Reset breakers only if critical

Engine fire in flight
A
Throttle - Closed Mix - Full lean / cutoff Fuel selector OFF Batt / Alt OFF Cabin heat & Air OFF Increase airspeed to extinguish Land ASAP

Engine fire during start
A
Continue cranking Engine
If start - run a few seconds - shutdown - inspect
If no start - idle mixture cutoff & fuel selector off
Throttle full open
Continue cranking engine a few seconds
Batt / Alt & Mags OFF
Evacuate / Fire Extinguisher

Pitot heat ON Carb heat ON Cabin heat & Defrost MAX Strongly consider 180 turn Attain higher or lower Alt Increase engine speed Flaps not recommended for landing Land faster 700-80 KTS
