Example- on a clear sunny day in the afternoon in the summer the higher the temperature the quicker you will get burnt

Reverse chase and effect relationship

A

The dependent and independent variables are reversed in the process of establishing causality
Example- this is a positive correlation between the amount of coffee consumed by adults ( independent ) vs their v levels of anxiety (dependent)

Accidental realtionship

A

Correlation exists without any casual realtionship between variables
Examples- there’s a positive correlation between the number of females studying science and the amount of game shows in tv

Presumes relationship

A

A correlation does not seem to be accidental even though cause and effect realtionship or common cause factor is apparent
Example - there’s a positive correlation between a persons fitness level of adventure movies they watch
