he put pressure on mary to declare war, this undid the diplomacy set up by northumberland and put england back into anti-french footing.
she declared war 1557 and achieved victories at the battl of Saint-Quentin

describe the wyatts rebellion

A

sir thomas wyatts planned a protestant rebellion against marys marriage plans. they plotted to overthrow the queen and replace her with edward courtenay (who was married to elizabeth)
he marched his men into london byt london brigde closed on him, within the confusion he failed to convince londers to join him
wyatts threatened the capital, however the lack of support meant the rebels posed less of a serious threat
Wyatts was executed along with LJG and her father

A

orginally there was meant to be 4 rebellons starting in 1554; in devon, leicaster led by LJG, welsh boarder and kent led by Wyatts. however it was difficult to keep plans secret, 3/4 rebellions failed to materalised, only Wyatts was able to gather men (3,000)
