How does Mifepristone Work?

A
  1. It blocks progesterone
  2. It stops the pregnancy from forming
  3. It causes the placenta and embryo to detach from the uterus
  4. It causes the cervix to dilate
  5. It sensitises the Uterus myometrium to prostaglandins so that the myometrium can contract more effectively.
