Is vulvar conformation important in the mare? If so why?
Yes!! Sunken in rectum can cause bacteria in vulva from feces,

What are the 3 parts of the broad ligament and what do they support?
Mesometrium -> uterus
Mesosalpinx -> oviduct
Mesovarium -> ovaries

The mare uterus is what shape? What does this mean?
Bicornuate
Large uterine body with smaller uterine horns
1 vagina, cervix, and uterine body with 2 uterine horns
What species have a duplex uterus?
Opossum (with 2 vaginas) and rabbit, mouse (with 1 vagina)
Maybe be able to tell the different of the stages of the cervix based on menstrual cycle in the mare

Explain the cervix during estrus?
More pink bc of high estrogen with a thin watery mucus and is more relaxed

Cortex on inside with medulla on outside, ovulation fossa is the only place where ovulation occurs in the mare due to this
