Human resource management (HRM) legislation and techniques
I have NO direct staff and only external consultants.

Benefit of External consultants
- Specifically qualified.
- Have been used by me for 10 yrs plus, indicating a working formula.
- Limit my risk during challenging periods ie recession/pandemics.
How Externals consultants operate
- they are independent with own PI insurance
- they work under banner of NJC & have company emails and on letter head.
- they are listed as consultants under my PI insurance.
Effective organisational design and communication strategies
- Regular MEETINGS online & in office.
- Check on their PROGRESS.
- BRAINSTORMING sessions on design (good to have different views !).
- I ARRANGE site meetings (including times/point of contact/H&S matters, risk assessments.
- I REVIEW completed projects on their pros and cons.
- Also provide relevant CDP & reading occasionally.
How do I recruit for consultants ?
-Through recommendations of other professionals I work with.
- Networking groups
On new projects, I provide consultants with what?
- Written brief.
- Timescales.
- Any particular issues/requirements.
I have two architects/CAD designer
They both have their strengths and weaknesses and I use them appropriately.
such as; level of skill, flexibility, speed and also costs
what is a CITB card?
Proof that individuals working on construction sites have the required training and qualifications for the type of work they carry out.
