Mutation in mismatch repair genes
(MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, PMS2)
What interventions can be considered to reduce cancer risk in Lynch patients?
Lifestyle - stop smoking, reduce weight, exercise, diet
COCP/mirena IUS - reduces endometrial proliferation
Aspirin
Hysterectomy if family complete
What % of endometrial cancers are caused by Lynch syndrome?

When would you get screened for lynch?
After a diagnosis of colon or endometrial ca
What sort of surveillance do Lynch patients get?
Colonoscopy every 2 years
TVUS and endometrial biopsy every 1-2 years but poor evidence
When can preventative TAH +/- BSO be offered?
40+ years, family complete
What is known to reduce cancer risk in lynch patients?
