If chronic, cutaneous lesions only.
Well- demarcated, erythematous, hyperkeratotic plaques with atrophy, follicular plugging, and adherent scale on both cheeks
CCLE. Dermatopathology.
Hyperkeratosis, atrophy of the epidermis, follicular plugging, liquefaction degeneration of the basal cel llayer lymphocytic inflammatory infiltrate.Strong PAS reaction. the subepidermal,thickened basement zone.LBT positive in 90% active lesions andn
negative in burned-out (scarred) lesions and in the normal skin, both sun exposed and nonexposed. Low inci- dence o ANAwith titers > 1:16
CCLE. % of remission for localized and generalized lesions.
50% localized
< 10% generalized
CCLE. % of which will develop into SLE.
