A

syndrome of signs and symptoms due to response of humoral factors (cytokines, hormones) secreted by tumours or as part of immune response, not due to local presence of cancer cells

secrete ectopic ACTH causing Cushing’s, or secrete antidiuretic hormone causing hyponatremia, leading to water retention
