In English we only have one word for love. But in Greek, there are 3 names for different types of love.

What can Jesus’ relationships with his 12 disciples teach Christians about love?
He often used the word “love” (in a philos way) to describe his relationships with them, even though at times He was betrayed by them. The kind of love Jesus had for his friends meant that He forgave them for betraying Him.

How did Judas Escariot betray Jesus?
Judas betrayed Jesus by leading the Romans to Him. He kissed Him on the cheek and Jesus was arrested. Jesus forgave Judas for this.
How did Simon Peter betray Jesus?
Simon Peter promised the Lord that He would never deny knowing Him, however when Jesus’ life was on the line, Peter denied ever knowing Jesus 3 times. Jesus forgave Peter for this.
