Explain how long shore drift works
A
Long shore drift is a process of transportation that shifts eroded material along the coastline. It is caused by a prevailing wind coming from the South West which causes a swash and backwash at an 45 degree angle. Swash carries material up a beach and backwash carries material back down a beach. The material is transported in a zig zag pattern/
