What is Durdle Door?

A

It is an arch on the Dorset Coast composed of limestone.

What is Lulworth Cove?

A

It is cove after a gap was eroded in a band of limestone. Behind the limestone is a band of clay that has been eroded to form the cove. The same thing is happening to stairhole further down the coast.

What is Chesil Beach?

A

It a tombolo created due to long shore drift. Behind Chesil beach there is a lagoon called Fleet lagoon

What is Studland Bay and Swanage Bay?

A

They are two area of softer rock. In between them is a headland called The Foreland. The end of the headland has been eroded to form old harry ( a stack) and Old Harry’s wife ( a stump)

A

A very small cove in Dorset much smaller than Lulworth. It has anticline and syncline.

A

A national treasure reserve owned by the national trust. It has sand dunes and tourist attractions.
