Per 40AC-9ZZ06, Locked Valve Control, when is an IV required?

A

When Locking and Sealing VALVES, BREAKERS and COMPONENTS as follows:

  1. Required position and locking device
  2. Local and Remote indication, verify locking device
  3. If unable to verify, can remove lock per CRS
  4. For throttled, Concurrent verification, then 2nd IV
  5. Lock can’t be defeated without damage and Lock doesn’t damage other components

Has to be able to respond to close valve in 60 seconds

  • 60 seconds is TOTAL time to close valve per DBM
    • No concurrent duties that would delay valve closure beyond 60 seconds
