Q

Predicting Trends

A

Predictions are made both from previously gained knowledge and from observations made during experiments. They are also more accurate when the experiment has been repeated several times with the same result.

Q

Sharing with the World

A

Scientists usually publish their conclusions and predictions in a written report. These reports can be found in scientific journals, on the internet, or in newspapers. Some scientists share their discoveries in an oral report. When preparing an oral or written science report, scientists must be sure they can answer any questions people might have about the investigation. The third way a result can be shared is through a science display. Perhaps you have participated in school science fairs in which students create displays to communicate the results of their investigations. These displays can include a large board with pictures, charts, and a clear explanation written on the display to communicate discoveries with others. The important thing is that we share our discoveries with the world so we can continue to teach and learn from each other.
