- Spread through airbourne droplets/ dircet contact.
- Symptons –> rash and fever
- Cannot be treaed: use painkillers.
- Avoid spread by isolating ptients/ vaccinations*

How is it treated?
A
- By bodily fluids/ sharing needles
- Suffer flu- like symptons: can lead to AIDS (unable to fight infection)
- Antiretroviral drugs slow development of HIV into AIDS.
- Avoid spread by using sterile needles and contraception*

- Spread through contact between plants (direct/ farmers.)
- Leaves from green to mosaic. Reduced photosynthesis. Reduced growth.
- No cure
- Reduce spread by cleaning tools and removing infected plants*

- Salmonella
- Gonorhoea

- Unhygeinic food prep, not cooked thoroughly.
- Vomitting, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea.
- Using antibiotics
- All poultry are vaccinated against it/ food must be cooked properly*

How is Gonorhoea spread?
What are the symptons?
How is it treated?
A
- Through sexual intercourse.
- Pain when urinating/ yellow, green discharge from vagina and penis.
- Using antibiotics however Gonorhoea is developing resistance.
- Prevent using contraception eg. condom*

Why can’t antibiotics be used for viruses?
A
- Viruses are inside the cell .
- The antibiotic cannot reach the virus.
