Q

WHy do we project? What use is it of to us?

A

We have models of the world in our heads. Based on what we are taught & what we experience. We project these models onto every new situation we face to make sense of it because we dont have all the info we need to make sense of it.

Q

What are the 5 stages of projection development?

A

Especially for FANTASY
1. Idealization - When we are in love, PFC shuts down so we can procreate

  1. Disillusioned - You wake up from the illusion that the person is perfect and realize that’s not reality
  2. Double-down - YOu fight back and try to stick to the illusion. You want to fix the imperfections and get back what you had. Its becomes a power struggle that you want to control. The other person feels he/she can’t cope with the high expectations.
  3. Withdrawal - Wake up call that its not working, the person is not ideal and needs to have their own journey. Could be when you break up.
  4. Becoming COnscious - YOu understand its just a phases, you let go of control and accept the other as is/his journey. You dont think its about you anymore.

Q

What’s the theory of the Ego living in a 200 ppl village vs 7B planet?

A

When it was 200 ppl village and staying within that village was essential for survival, you could be the best at something and your EGO would be satisfied. But today within 7B ppl you can’t be the best and there will always be someone better than you. Ego can’t get satisfied.

A
  1. Become aware of it - everytime you compare or try to impress
