Describe Dissociative amnesia
- inability to recall important personal information
- usually information regarding traumatic experience
Describe Dissociative Fugue
- Sudden, unexpected travel away from home
- Inability to recall one’s past/personal identity
Describe Dissociative identity disorder
- formerly known as “multiple personality disorder”
- “alters”
- often survivors of sexual abuse
What is an adjustment disorder
-occur within 3 months of a serious life stressor and lasting less than 6 months (can persist over 6 months in presence of chronic stressor)

Basically overwhelming stressor and the patient loses function like can’t walk, or see, or is having psuedoseizures
- all tests are normal
- can’t figure out what is wrong

- Level of risk: high, moderate, low, acute, chronic

clozapine
what has been shown to reduce suicidal thoughts in pts with major depression and bipolar depression
lithium . . not FDA approved for this tho
