What are characteristics of the CNS ?

A
  • Unpaired, bilaterally symmetrical structures extending along the longitudional axis of the mid sagittal plane of the body

Q

What are the characteristics of the peripheal nervous system?

A

Made up of nerve pathways carrying information b/w the CNS and the external and internal environemnts.

Contains AFFERT (sensory) pathways carries info to CNS

COntains EFFERT (motor) Pathways carry info away from CNS
