16
Q

What does the medial nerve supply?

A

Supplies the flexor muscles of the radial side of the forearm.

Travels with brachial artery

  • Lateral in upper half of brachium
  • Medial in lower half of brachium

Crosses cubical fossa superficially:
-w/ brachial artery
Deep to bicipital aponeurosis

17
Q

What does the ulnar nerve supply?

A

Suppliers flexor muscles on ulnar side of the forearm

  • starts in anterior brachial compartment
  • Medial to brachial artery
  • Runs with superior ulnar collateral artery
  • Pierces medial intermuscular septum
  • Enters posterior compartment of the brachium
  • Passes around superficial medial epicondyle
  • Passes into forearm b/w two heads of flexor Capri ulnaris muscle
18
Q

What does the radial nerve supply?

A

Supplies extensor muscles in posterior compartment of brachium as well as extensor muscles of the wrist and hand . ALSO THE BRACHIOradialis extensor Capri radialis longus

Descends Posterior to the axillary artery to the axillary artery

  • Spirals around the posterior surface of the humerus in the spiral (radial) groove
  • accompanied by deep brachial artery

Passes into forearm (b/w the brachialis muscle medically and the brachioradialis muscle laterally)

19
Q

What does the musculocutaneous nerve innervates?

A

Pierce’s the coracobrachialis
Innervates muscles of anterior brachial compartment
Pierces fascia lateral to biceps
-CONTINUES AS LATERAL CUTANEOUS NERVE OF THE FOREARM
-SUPPLIES SKIN ON LATERAL FOREARM AS FAR AS WRIST
