- Currently in planning stages. No concrete funding yet
- Current funding is not addressing northern communities - Transition State
- Now…approximately 2000 UofS students identify as Indigenous. We should be at 5000
- Idea: independent Indigenous students union able to allocate resources and programming specific to Indigenous students - Future State
Indigenous people will be:
- Autonomous, self-governing
- Ability to allocate resources guaranteed by treaty rights

- Increase in number of seats in colleges
- Paid Aboriginal mentorship for new or existing Aboriginal health-care providers to practice in Reserve communities

- Incorporate traditional medicine into educational programs
- Mentorship in communites
- Increase the number of Aboriginal healthcare providers
- Inspire Aboriginal youth to embrace traditional culture and enhance education

Provide Cultural Health Competency Training for All Health-Care Professionals

- Present State
- Education for health care professionals has a cultural component, that will aid us in future care
- Indigenous studies requirement and incorporated in other nursing classes - Future State
- Increase the amount of culturally competent health-care professional
- Create a safe health-care space for everyone
- Have an increase amount of Indigenous people seek health care - Transition State
- Increase Indigenous culture education, starting at a younger age
- Instill cultural safety as a lifestyle rather then just a job requirement
- Increase in staff so nurses can establish better report, thus increasing their cultural competency and safety
