- Anyone who migrates from their country of origin to a different country
- Movement is mostly voluntary

- Anyone who migrates from their country of origin in fear of persecution
- Feels they will be unable to return for fear of further persecution
What is culture?
Culture is the system of shared beliefs, values, customs, behaviours, and artifacts with which the members of society use to understand their world and one another
