Q

Lane Change Procedure Pointers

A
  1. Wheel movement required for a gradual lane change is very little
  2. After passing you may return to the original lane by waiting until you can see the passed car’s headlights (both) in your rear view mirror. Be sure that the care behind you, also passing, does not return to the original lane before you
  3. If you want to change lanes and there is a steady stream of traffic, make all checks, signal, and look to see if someone grants the right-of-way to you with an audible or visual signal. Change with extreme caution
  4. Always make the following considerations: (1) intersections; (2) car in crossover; (3) driveways; (4) pavement markings; (5) fast or slow moving vehicles; (6) interval ahead and behind; (7) planning ahead
  5. Remember that on 2-lane roads, the very important consideration of oncoming traffic applies. Always be sure
  6. The general rule of the road if Keep Right- Pass Left

Q

Crossover Procedure Pointers

A
  1. Always check to see if there is a stop sign in the crossover
  2. Do not enter the road if 2 cars are coming up the far lane (the 2nd one may pass the first)
  3. Watch for loose gravel or other road conditions in the crossover
  4. Always check for traffic on the highway, in crossroads, land entering the same crossover you are
  5. If another car is in the crossover in front of you, stop before the crossover until that car leaves. Do not block the crossover
