Q

Curbs

A
  • As you approach a turn look for the curb and make a mental note of its location
  • If you are making a right hand turn city curbs are more squared off and the hood of your car will block it from view
  • Don’t stay too close to the curb
  • The closer you are to the curb the further out you must go before starting your turn possibly making you go into someone else’s lane

Curves Techniques

A
  1. Watch out for warning signs and the advisory speed sides below them. Plan ahead
  2. Turn the steering wheel only as much as you need it. You should anticipate your wheel turn so you are not late getting into the curve and you stay in your lane
  3. Always slow down before entering the curve. You should be going as slow as necessary before turning the wheel into the curve
  4. Look across the curve for traffic or road conditions. Remember, the most likely place to meet someone else in the center of the road is on a curve
