Graduated Drivers License (GDL)
• Consequences:
- 2 month suspension for 1st offense
- 4 month suspension for subsequent offenses
Restricted License
If you have a disability which would interfere with your driving, it may be possible through the use of special equipment to compensate for your disability
- Examples: people who wear glasses, only able to drive daylight etc.
Duplicate License
If your license is lost, stolen or damaged you may apply for a duplicate license
- Fee: $10
- Must bring 3 forms of ID with one having your signature
Transfer of License from another State
Must apply within 60 days of becoming a resident
Name Change
Within 30 days after legally changing name
- Must bring old drivers license and document as evidence of change (marriage license, court document)
- $1.15 for new license
Address Change
30 days to notify Vehicle registration and Drivers License section
- May send letter to change records, but must go in person to change license for free
Organ Donor Program
When you get your license you will be asked to participate
- If yes, it will be marked on your Drivers License
- Notify your family
Motorcycle Endorsement
Any person who operates a motorcycle, motor bike or other 2 wheeled, motor driven vehicle you must have a motorcycle endorsement
