Billiruben in urine
liver disease, red blood cell breakdown or gallstones
nitrates
can sometimes indicate a UIT but the presence of it does not mean there isnt a UTI
leucocytes
indicates white blood cells and UIT
Can indicate pyria (pus in urine).
protein
caused by many things, such as damage or disease to the glomerular filtration barrier; hypertension; kidney damage; diabetes mellitus; and pre-eclampsia
Ketones
can also be present in the urine of people with poorly controlled diabetes. Patients on a diet and vomiting.
glucose
Glucose in the urine (glycosuria) can occur in pregnancy or patients taking corticosteroids
PH urine
5.0-8.0 is considered normal
Acidic urine may indicate formation of urinary stones, while alkaline urine may indicate a UTI with certain types of bacteria, such as Proteus mirabilis, Klebsiella or Pseudomonas
