A

(1) pos.= the foot cannot dorsiflex with knee extended, but is able to with knee flexed
(1) ind.= contracture of the gastrocnemius muscle
(2) pos.= the foot cannot dorsiflex in either knee position
(2) ind.= contracture of the soleus muscle

Rigid or Supple Flat Feet Test:

A

(1) pos.= absence of medial longitudinal arch in both positions
(1) ind.= rigid flat feet
(2) pos.= presence of medial longitudinal arch while seated with a loss of medial longitudinal arch while standing
(2) ind.= supple flat feet
