- intro - charters and setting
- initial incident - the problem to be solved
- rising action - the events that lead to the climax
- climax - the main character changes as a result of the rising action
- falling action - tying up of loose ends

difference between novel and short story structure
one has a climax and the other has mini climaxes
what is atmosphere
deals with the setting
define something’s in atmosphere (mood and etc)
mood: calm, romantic, etc

what is suspense
a state or feeling of excited or anxious uncertainty about what may happen

a type of narrative or a plot device in which the end is curiously abrupt

the story is told by a narrator talking to the reader

the story is told by a narrator

the narrator knows the thoughts of 1 character
3rd person omniscient
the narrator knows the thoughts of every character
what’s a protagonist
the protagonist is the main character whose story is being told through any literary work
types of protagonists ;
lonely hero, group hero, anti heroes
what is a antagonist
the antagonist is the primary opponent of the protagonist and the major force standing between the main character and their goal
type of antagonists
the villain, group villain, inanimate force, intrinsic force
