Q

Deep vessels and nerves

A

Under deep fascia, nerves and vessels collect in bundles.
Neurovascular bundle = bundle of nerves and vessels, enclosed in fascial sheath

Q

Central NS

A

Brain and Spinal cord
- Responsible for making sense of stimulation/ sensory input created by internal and external environments from PNS
- Responsible for initiating responses/ motor outputs

Q

Peripheral NS

A

Cranial and spinal nerves
- Responsible for collecting anf transporting sensory input from the internal/ external environment to the CNS. Then transport a motor output from CNS to the body to make it respond/ interact with environment.

Q

Spinal cord and spinal nerves relationship

A
  • Neurons transmit electrical signals and gather in plexus’
  • So if 1 neuron is damaged, another can take over
  • There are 4 Plexus’ to ensure injury does not denerve an area completely

Q

Cranial nerves - head

A
