A

EPO (Erythropoietin) is secreted due to low blood oxygen levels and anemia, EPO stimulates red bone marrow to produce RBC and and accelerates RBC maturation

What is Calcitriol and what organ does it effect

A

The kidneys will be stimulated into secreting Calcitriol or Vitamin D
- Stimulates absorbtion of calcium by intestines
- Decreases calcium loss by kidneys

What is ANH, what organ does it affect and how does it effect this organ

A

The atria of the heart will secrete ANH or ANP (atrial natriuertic hormone) to DECREASE BLOOD PRESURE

Effects
- Dilation (big) blood vessels of the skin will pull more blood away from the heart
- Increase water elimination by kidneys,
