Q

performant pathway

A

delivers information from the cerebral cortex to the hippocampus
originates in the entorhinal cortex and projects to the dentate gyrus
fibers leave the dentate gyrus and project to the CA3 region
neurons CA3 send axons to CA1 projecting to neurons in the subiculum
subiculum= main output, send fibers to the entorhinal cortex out to the cerebrum
fibers also sent out of the subiculum and hippocampus to the fornix
which connects to hippocampus to subcortical areas
