Orthodox jews would say that we need to live our lives to make God happy so they don’t limit us.

Reform Jews would say that God gives us the choice of which laws to floow and which to not follow

This is where you go if you are judged unworthy to go to Gan Eden because Jews don’t believe in hell

A

Some Jews believe that you are judged as soon as they die

Other Jews believe that you are judged on a judgment day (the day when the Messaih comes) with everyone else who has ever died

Most jews also believe that they are judged once a year at Rosh Hashanah

A

Here people believe that they are judged by God and God decides if they will have a good next year depending on there actions the previos year

A

Abraham left his home town or Ur because people wouldn’t listen to him when he said that worshiping idles was wong and that they should only worship 1 God.

He left Ur in search for Canaan.

On his travels he was visited by the Lord who said “I will make of you a great nation”

This tells Jews that Canaan is the promised land

Explain Abrahams covenant with Abraham?

How was it fuffiled by Abraham and God

A

This was the first Covenant ever made between humans and God. God promised that Abraham would be the farther of many nations whilst Abraham promised that he would live a life dedecated to God and do whatever God told him to do.

The covenant was sealed by the circumcision of himself and his male family members.

God fuffiled to covenant by letting Abraham live to over 4,000 and by giving him a chuld Isaac

How did the Jews escape from Egypt?

A

After 1,000 years after God’s covenant with Abraham they Jews were being used as slaves by the egyptians. God chose Moses to lead the escape. He told Moses to the pharo for freedom and when he said no he sent some plagues.

After these plagues the phareo agreed to let them go. The Jews left Egypt and wandered around to try and find Cannan for many years.

Explain the covenant at Sinai

A

Mosses climed the mountain at Sinai and: Made between God and Mosses. God promised to bless and protect the Jews whilst Jews prommised to live a life dedicated to God.

Mosses is seen as a representation of all Jews (even living Jews today) this means that the covenant is still binding.

A central part of Jewish life is to be kind to people, animals and the planet. This is seen in the Torah as rules encourage Jews to be kind.
